When I first decided to research online dating I was a bit overwhelmed when the idea of placing myself in the setting came about. I was extremely nervous, but I figured it would be best to have a complete understanding of what was really going on. I signed up for three sites, Tinder, Plenty of Fish and OkCupid. I disclosed different information on each site because I as fear of of how I would be viewed by others. Then I remembered that the computer screen provided a filter. I resolved to give it a try and went on two dates. I guy I communicated with via Okcupid and the other was from Plenty of fish. Both dates weren't bad. I communicated with each guy three weeks before actually giving way out using Facetime. We settled to meet at the restaurant and actually had a decent time. There were no second dates but I did determine that the more I self-disclosed about my interest and dislikes it made it easier to connect with other daters who like myself feared online dating.
